Additionally, it has low permeability to water vapor and air, along with minimal water absorption.

However, HDPE's aging resistance is subpar, and its environmental cracking resistance is inferior to LDPE, especially when exposed to thermal oxidation. To enhance its performance, antioxidants and ultraviolet absorbents should be added. It's crucial to note that HDPE film's hot deformation temperature under stress is relatively low, necessitating caution during application.
